1HDC 09.09 - The Future of Digital Reading - Submissions

The real star of this idea is the technology of colors appearing in woven fabric - thanks Maggie Orth. Check the YouTube video for a quick recap: Dynamic Double Weave, by Maggie Orth - YouTube

Individual issues addressed from the research:
TRACY - didn’t want to be “hyper-connected” - with woven pages you aren’t in front of a screen for every waking hour! (my eyes needed a break too…)
JEFF - still easy to acquire new content via the web/personal computer through usb key downloading/uploading. Adding access to libraries! USB makes it easy to share with friends!
ERICA - almost loves books more than reading - welcome to the ultimate accessory (seriously, have you seen how obsessed people are with moleskines? It’s the new cool/intellectual/creative kid must-have.)
CHRIS - still avoid having too many space-hogging books with this one singular and beloved one!

(the tiny bit cut off the bottom says that portions of the book are shown at a time - pages are similar in # to current moleskine notebooks.)
