It’s how brightcove’s player is setup automatically.
Another annoyance blocker add-on I use for firefox is NoScript. It won’t allow stuff like that to automatically load up and play until you specifically allow it, highly recommended. So all I see is the placeholder box and if I want to watch it, I have to click on it to allow it to play.
