Music gives me energy like nothing else. It’s my fix.
My taste in music is wide, and i can not divorce it from my taste work music
It depends on the stage I am in.
Sometime i used to evoke a mood for something i am doing, for infusing emotion. It also shapes my creative process with the rhythm.
When in deep thought, i rather be in silence. Specially when i am formulating because the music competes with my thought, like it slips in in the space between thoughts.
Consistently i listen to Cafe del Mar, it would be on top of my list, and European lounge/easy listening like Hotel Costes because it’s chilly, light, and not invasive. But i listen to all kind of House, Rock, progressive, electronic, electronic, World to disco ( yes, disco, grace jones is cool)

When i start making i like something high energy.
I Like Steve Aoki, or the soundtrack of Slumdog Millionaire.
Sometimes I play Justin Timberlake, Nelly or T.I. Or Tina Turner
even Snoop dog Or odd things like Sex Machine by James Brown at 3 am. Cause its upbeat and give me energy and i’ll be grooving. Or Gary Numan, or music from the 80’s like The Smith, Psychedelic Fur, etc…
I like the song Stronger by Kanye west
Check how it starts:
“Work it harder, make it better,
do it faster, makes us stronger,
more than ever, never over,
Our work here is never over.”
I have +10k songs so don’t get me going.
PS: The definite very worst music for working is Joanna Newson
