i always carry a heavy backpack. macbook, books, drawing paper, rulers, markers, pencil, pen, etc.
well, i came out with idea a backpack that has a protection, in strap & soft form to reduce the back pain - heavy load. devided 2 compartments for laptop & books.
the rubber form, somehow following our back side, shoulder & neck.
elastic case in front for ruler & drawing tools.
the strap can be take off, change it to massenger bag…somehow, with flexible joint on it, and magnet / connect device.
maybe, can add more pocket in front / compartment for drink /pocket camera
overall, the backpack doesnt limit our style & fashion.
Here’s my submission for shoulderbag/backpack -
Looks like a match book with a reflective strike strip for high visibility-
Clear outside pocket to customize cover
Straps covert it to a backpack or shoulder bag.
Opens to reveal long pockets (match body) and short pockets (match head)
Taking inspiration from the popular vinyl designer toys, this design seeks to bring more fun and personalizatin to the messenger bag. Whether it is used for school, travel, or work, this messenger bag is designed to be both fun and functional. Additionally, while only one character is shown in the image, many more can be added to create a whole line of unique “characterz,” possibly even allowing customers to “design their own character” later on down the road.
Hi,
This is my first participation at 1hdc. My entry is about a backpack for people who studies/ work and then go to the gym or practice some sport, and don´t have time to go back home and pick up your stuffs like tennis shoes, t-shirts, shorts or whatever they need to practice sports.
So my backpack is basically divided in two parts, with a zipper making a link between them. You can put your books or personal belongings on the upper part, and your sneakers/some clothes on the lower part.
If you want, you can use just the upper part, for that days you are not in the mood to go direct to school or work to the gym (lazy days
You can use just the lower part too, because there´s a strap on it helping you to carry your stuffs.
I wish I could have more time to develop this, but it´s something that just came up to my mind, since I work and then go to exercise three times a week after work, and always have to bring my purse with my personal stuffs (wallet, cellphone, necessaire, diary planner, etc) and add a backpack with me. I wish I could have just one piece of purse/backpack to carry all my stuffs.
That´s it
This bag is so you never loose anything in your pag ever again:
*Has 2 pouches one small pen pouch and one large area for books markers
It was a central zip so you can essentially unfold your bag; this can be usefull for when looking for something small and tiny in your bag without having to tip everything on the floor
The central zip system also allows for easier cleaning if you make a mess of your bag
Magenetic cathces again to hold the front of the bag shut (these could be replaced by male femal catches if required
The bag aesthetic is to resemble a shirt hense the pocket pouch. Obvously all canvas etc… can change and do a better job of colour scheming.
This is the back to school bag for the individual who has no school to return to. This bag is designed for the traveler, who views the world as a classroom.
I’ve been living and traveling (and learning) in the Far East for the past few months and I guess this is something of my dream bag. Its versatile, adaptable (small enough that it forces you to travel light) and best of all it comes with a walking stick that doubles as what I could only think to call a “hobo stick”.
For now colors and materials will have to wait. Took me one hour (that was with my roommate returning from his weekend excursion to Hong Kong and his retelling of his experience at the Chungking Mansions).
Best,

(A) Ballistic nylon covered foam case for food, beverages, or fragile cargo. The foam insulates perishables from heat and/or protects electronics from impact.
(B) The case zips closed and slides between railings (C) molded into the nylon internal frame. The case is held above the main storage compartment to avoid being squished by heavy books and laptops.
(D) Messenger style flap buckles closed to the body.
(E) Padded laptop case.
(F) Main pouch expands to allow for easier access to cargo.
(G) Pen/pencil loops are revealed by lifting the front flap.
this concept presents the ultimate in customization, while taking into consideration the reuse of old materials. t-shirts are a popular and venue of self-expression, and after their wearable shelf life, they are often discarded. take those killer t-shirts, and put them into a personalized bag.
the customer ships a few old t-shirts to the manufacturer, and after a period of time, is sent back a sweet messenger bag with the sentimental old t-shirts on the exterior.
the bag is one-of-a-kind, and the materials are reused. the interior and structure of the bag, for durability, made of recycled canvas, or reused materials, such as leather, denim, or other materials as they become available.
the good bag
good for the kids
good for the old t-shirts
good for the environment
(By the way, anyone know why it’s showing my image black in the posting? when I click on it, it’s fine.)
Lapling is a laptop sling bag but better. What makes Lapling different is the bag aligns with the strap and sits diagonally across the back. Every laptop sling I have ever seen seats the bag horizontally. The bag itself is a letter box, Academy aspect ratio shape and a little smaller than most bags.
Just a canvas back pack with silicone accents. I added in a fold out hoodie and a thick part on the arm strap to act as a sort of pillow, midday nap bag. The rubber might be cool because im always scared my computer is going to get wet with just fabric or a zipper on the top of the bag when it is raining.
The Dolphin pack unfolds from flat crescents of plastic to swallow any load you throw at it.
Its organic shape hooks onto shoulders and hugs hips, so uses no straps.
The Dolphin’s loading mouth is against your back, safe from urban predators.
The sides of the Dolphin swell to swallow bigger loads, but the elastic mesh keeps loads well restrained and streamlined.
The elastic mesh has a membrane behind to keep the load dry.
An empty dolphin can be used as an umbrella, by holding it by the tail.
A mostly empty Dolphin sits on one shoulder, like a message bag.
Heavy loads make the crescents lie flat against shoulders and hips, keeping comfortable.
The main idea is to distribute weight more evenly from front and back.
And detachable front bag so you can keep your heavier main bag in the locker while front bag is carried in between classes.
There would be no strap.
The outer skin is made with hard shell
All the contact points would have ample padding (esp in shoulder) for comfort.
The front portion would be right size for laptops to evenly distribute weight from back and front and also for easy access.
