very interesting article on design in the USSR during the industrial era, 1950-1989. based on a new book: Designed in the USSR: 1950-1989 ... 714875576/

of interest to designers as well as graphic artist, lots of inspiration.
I find very interesting the extensive use of bright primary colors, particularly "Communist Red"... I love post-industrial Italian design and the difference in choice of colors is striking (at least based on the excerpts from the book).

Lovely! Thank you. Always important to look at design and arts through a different cultural lens.

(btw, Moscow Design Museum has a nice Instagram feed, though not all of it Soviet/Russian)
