High point for diversity in blockbuster sci-fi films: main protagonists are female, Nigerian, and Guatamalan. All highly competent and likeable.
Good point though on the artificiality of the Han/Kylo relationship, it was never built up despite overt dialogue-based attempts, so falls kind of flat. I guess the family had been all separated for a long time so maybe it works.
