Any nice looking electric kettles?

I would go for premium materials and companies with decades of experience in electronic consumer goods and a sense of design, either the Bosch one or this one by Philips:

The Stelton one is nice design-wise and would go well with the Stelton vacuum jug by Erik Magnussen. I got it as a gift last year and it’s a great product.

Also here in the Netherlands most people have an electric water cooker. With a good quality cooker, you can do a round of push-ups and your water is ready. The real tea drinkers have a separate corner with multiple cookers, jugs and tea+spice+honey collections. In higher income homes plastic is consciously avoided, and by occasion you see homes with more traditional oriented design, as well as around the coast and mediterranean, and they prefer the stove top cooker.

Here’s a couple from 2 companies here in Australia. I’m not such a fan of how ‘chromy’ the handles look, but overall I quite like the form of both of them. I’ve no idea if they’re available in Canada though.

^^ The Stelton one looks very nice.

The SMEG electrical kettle is nice in a retro-esque way. Not particularly cheap though.

The Sunbeam Marc Newson one is quite interesting. Not sure if available outside Aus…

Smart, Medium size and good looking!

Magestore Omnichannel retail definition
Great, so now that we’ve stated that omnichannel is being used merely as a buzzword for crosschannel with finesse – what is omnichannel? Omnichannel is about true continuity of your experience. But what’s key is that it extends beyond a single brand’s universe. Being omniscient is perceiving and understanding all things. Not all things at Best Buy. Not all things at Target. Not all things at Gucci. Omni is perceiving all things. And the best way for a customer to perceive everything is to allow them to own their data and experience, then give them the ability to use it to guide creation and context of every future experience.

That is a very strange design with the interfering branding and material use…but R&H is a good brand.

The Australian companies are definitely ahead in this product segment.
Consider this one by Espressions:

It is now promoted on many major Dutch online retail websites and in professional magazines as well. The aluminum doesn’t nearly look as well finished as on the product photography but it is good quality.

Where can I buy the Marc Newson toaster and kettle design?
It is time to replace our decades old Mickey mouse toaster and forced impulse buy kettle:

I can buy it in the USA as well and bring it back in a suitcase this summer.

You guys hit the major ones. This Breville is also not bad:

I got a Breville this year (also have one of their blenders), nice products, lots of real metal, clean design.

This popped up in my feed and I remembered this thread. I saw 250 USD mentioned somewhere.

That’s nice. I was looking at their water carbonstor the other day. Very tempting to replace the plastic soda stream with a nice solid metal machine.

I’ve been looking at Breville, though I may start with a mixpresso machine and then upgrade to a mignon notte grinder & Baratza Encore later. I didn’t get into coffee until recently, so I can deal. Though buying the best of the best of the whole Eureka line is tempting.

these are a few I have liked…

The aarke carbonator definitely dresses up the countertop, however it is unforgiving when screwing in a carafe, a quarter of the time it starts to cross-thread.

I’ve had this for two years and it is going strong - it has a built-in timer which allows you to track pour-over times or tea steeping.

Do you have an aarke?

Ya, it is nice looking but unrefined on the UX. I overstated the crossthreading rate but it happens frequently enough to be annoying. The crispness of the lever action and sound it makes when a carafe has been carbonated have diminished over time too. The wirecutter had some interesting recommendations: The 4 Best Soda Makers of 2023 | Reviews by Wirecutter , this one was intriguing:

hmm. thanks for the real world notes. I still might get one at some point…

PS> i never actually trust Wirecutter as it’s all about affiliate links and ads.

The cross threading, I feel your pain. I also get a bit of mystery water build up inside the products base but in general I’m happy with it, much nicer that the plastic sodastreams

Yep, this too! Agreed that it is still better than the alternative.

The Muji stainless steel kettles are pretty nice and designed by Jasper Morrison. I also saw the kettle that the design was based around in Kissaten.

These Balmuda kettles are also pretty nice if you don’t mind the gooseneck.
