Need K-12 Design Education Resources

I’m leading teams of 1 teacher and 6 students through the design thinking process and am really struggling to find engaging videos that relate to various aspects of the process. We teach 1. Empathize, 2. Define, 3. Ideate, 4. Prototype, 5. Test. We have three different age groups: high school (grades 9-12), middle school (grades 6-8), and elementary school (grades 3-5).

Any suggestions?

agreed. You could do some role play or skit based exercises.

Are you looking for videos of what each aspect of the process is or videos of what Design Thinking is? Not sure what you are looking for.
youtube has a lot of videos on Design Thinking.
Design Thinking - Stanford video. Stanford Webinar - Design Thinking and the Art of Innovation - YouTube
Bicycle cup holder project - Stanford Design Thinking Process - YouTube

Design thinking is about discovering through the design thinking process, the key is the teacher guiding the students. If you show them videos then they’ll think that’s the only way to do it.

In this program, teachers are guiding their students through the design process. I’m looking for resources that can demonstrate how testing a design improves the designers understanding of how users will potentially use it or an example that shows how designers empathize with users to better understand their needs…and things like that.
