I don't get it... why rebrand when their logo is them. The logo is GAP!

Seems like a change for the sake of change to me.

Now I'm really starting to believe this stuff is being done on purpose. All of these places doing this just in the past year or 2? Must be some new radical marketing technique just starting to grab hold. Anything that brings attention, companies start using Jerry Springer style controversy to get more press. What's next, pro-wrestling and east/west coast hip-hop style beefs between big corporations, similar to apple/microsoft?

Its always a failure when big companies try to change a logo has been with the company for years and why would they try to change something that identifies their brand- dumb move on their part
