Packaging/Box-Cost Software?

Is anyone aware of what, if any, (packing?) software is used to calculate cost of box/materials and can also calculate the most feasible (space saving) arrangement for packing the contents?

Thanks

ArtiosCAD is the most common software used for paper packaging development. I have not used it in a while but I think you can get this type of info from it.

ArtiosCAD has a section in the outputs that shows you the square area of material used. This of course is neither here nor there on it’s own cause cost is also based on the quantity, press and feedup being used. A larger carton size doesn’t always mean it’s going to be cheaper.

TOPS is a seperate piece of software used to generate pallet formats and will present you the most optimal format with other options available as well. All you have to do is enter in pallet specs along with outside dimensions of the packaging.
