Making The City Playable Conference 2017

Making the City Playable Conference 2017, Watershed, Bristol, Thursday 19 October 2017

We are very pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for the Making the City Playable Conference 2017. All over the world, play is being embraced as an antidote to the anonymity of the urban environment. This one day conference will explore the theme of the Playable City and how public space, creativity and imagination combines to create unexpected interactions and a new kind of dialogue.

We have gathered together an international mix of artists, academics, policy makers and producers to speak about their transformative work in cities from Montreal to Mexico City, Lagos to Copenhagen, including Play Scholar Miguel Sicart, Midnight Run founder Inua Ellams, Programme Director of Quartier des Spectacles Montreal Pascale Daigle, and Daniel Hirschmann of Hirsch and Mann, our current Playable City Award winners. Our programme will feature playful interventions, opportunities for networking, debate and discussion, and a chance to meet Watershed’s fifteen international city change makers – joining us on Creative Producers International, a three year programme which will put people and play at the heart of their future cities.

Tickets are now available at: Making the City Playable - info and ticket booking, Bristol | Watershed. We will provide BSL and live captioning to accompany all our conference speakers. If you have any questions contact pete.v@watershed.co.uk. We very much hope you will join us for what promises to be an extraordinary day.
