The group was started on linkedin in july of 2010 and since then we’ve had great turn outs all over the SD area. So, if your not on linkedin, get on it, join, and come meet the rest of the SD area industrial deisgners for a drink!!! link below

It is a super rad group. I have attended all the happy hours and always fun. It is a great way to meet others outside your product industry.

IDSD meeting tonight at Stone Brewery in Escondido. Come out and meet local designers while enjoying great beer! starts around 5:30pm, see you there!

Hey guys,

Arnette eyewear just moved their HQ to downtown Encinitas. They are having an open house this Thursday night. I’m going to pop down as a bit of research for our new space.

Which coincides with the Encinitas 3rd Thursday car shows.

If you haven’t been to Seaweed and Gravel, it is basically vintage motorcycles, surfboards, clothing and bonsai trees…

DuckyWaddles also participates in the art walk. Ducky’s has had multiple Shepard Fairey one man shows and has a pretty awesome selection of prints and art and architecture books:

They host happy hours every month or so:

IDSD happy hour #22 At BJ’s Brewhouse in Carlsbad (Wed August 29th @5:30pm)
Hope everyone can make it to our last Wednesday of the month event. It’s next week at BJ’s. Come blow off some steam, relax, and talk design with your peers. I’ll get there a little earlier and try to secure a table in the bar or even on the patio, weather permitting. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

They seem pretty flexible. The last couple been to have been in Oceanside and Del Mar respectively. glad to see it is pretty active down here!

Industrial Designer get together at BJ’s Brewhouse this Wednesday night:

IDSD Happy Hour at BJ’s Brewhouse (Wednesday Jan 30th @ 5:30pm)
Hi Everyone - Hope you had a fantastic holiday and your new year is off to a great start. We will continue our IDSD happy hour meet-ups on the last Wednesday of every month. I’ve posted the first 5 locations of 2013 below. Next week we’re meeting at BJ’s Brewhouse.

For those of you who have not been to one yet, it’s simply a very casual get together of like-minded (not always though, HA!) San Diego Industrial Designers. The goal is to bring the local design community together and strengthen relationships that will benefit each of us personally and professionally. There are now 90 people in this group and most of them are in San Diego. Did you know there were 90+ id’ers in SD?!?! I didn’t either before starting IDSD two years ago AND that’s the reason I did. If you haven’t been to an IDSD happy hour yet, make it one of your 2013 resolutions.

Who’s in this month?

Best - Chris
