I wanted to give a shout to anyone in the San Diego area that is an industrial designer to come meet up the last wednesday of each month for drinks. The group was started on linkedin in july of 2010 and since then we've had great turn outs all over the SD area. Arnette eyewear just moved their HQ to downtown Encinitas. They are having an open house this Thursday night. I'm going to pop down as a bit of research for our new space.

This coming Sunday the 26th LeucadiARTwalk. The SeaweedandGravel parking lot will be filled with artists, photographers and music. Come take a stroll down 101.

There is a pretty active IDSD (Industrial Design San Diego) group on LinkedIn as well.

They host happy hours every month or so:

Hope everyone can make it to our last Wednesday of the month event. It's next week at BJ's. Come blow off some steam, relax, and talk design with your peers. I'll get there a little earlier and try to secure a table in the bar or even on the patio, weather permitting. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I hope they move most of the meetings up in North County (where the majority of SD designers are from anyways).

They seem pretty flexible. The last couple been to have been in Oceanside and Del Mar respectively. glad to see it is pretty active down here!
