Nice! I think I remember seeing this in Wired a few months back.

Nice work - that thing is sweet! Are you producing it here in the states or overseas?

Can you post any of the illustrations you were working from? I’d love to see some of that stuff…

Excuse the question if it sounds ignorant, but are they hand finished? Don’t know anything about toy design. They’re hot.

Were the decos and weathering done by hand? I always wondered how camouflage was achieved in toys. Do they mask and paint automatically or is it manual labor?

Another ignorant question:

Vinyl, Plastic or Resin?

That thing is awesome. I picked up a couple of the WWR books in a local comic shop ( http://www.floatingworldcomics.com ) awhile back. The illustrations are awesome. The toys do a great job of capturing the feel. I’m definitely getting some!

Beautiful work.

Um…it has no feet?

For a 14" figurine those accessories have some serious detail. That revolver looks real in the photo. Excellent work!

hey .

thanks for th ecompliments

the figure was modeled using some sophisticated modelign software, and CNCd from the digital data

we used a mix of materials , Vinyl, Rasin and ABS plastic as well as cloth to get teh desired look

has over 46 points of movement , assembled and decorated by hand
all the weathering and painting is done by extremley skilled artisans.

if you see one in person please feel free to play with it
Ithe figure is a joy to pose ,

hmm Ive always wondered how they get the dry brushing and washing done on mass produced toys, i suppose the same way. I myself make models and enjoy the painting the best part, as its the one part where there are no real instructions or one specific method & it brings the model to life.

the production paint is done the same way you do it
by hand with highly skilled workers…

Only 9 months ?
Wow this is amazing and detailed work.
I am very impressed … details are great.
It’s more than a toy, more like art .btw I found this two sites meal plan, super distortion very interesting

We do all our design and development through a highly tuned digital pipeline
the model is created, joints are engineered and approvals are done in record time. then the approver piece is passed over for output and then tooling
working this way enabled us to streamline our work flow and get things to market in half the time it normally takes

check our site, nearly everything there is done using these methods
