Nokia Nseries Design Award: announcement of winners

The Nokia Nseries Design Award’s giury announce the winner of the international competion for talented young designers launched by Nokia in partnership with Gruppo Sintesi. Designers from 28 countries participated in the contest with projects inspired from the latest Nokia Nseries mobile phones and the “connecting mobility” concept  which redesigns spaces, interiors, furniture and complements according to new criteria.

The five winners are: Jason Cooper, Mario Giordano, Manuel Castellino, Marco D’Angelo and Paolo Zillo. Gino Finizio, one of the main international experts in design management and Nseries Design Award giury’s member, says about Jason Cooper’s project King of the Hill Stool: “This simply designed work hems in many possible practical uses. The sketches demonstrate a good manual ability and face the virtual theme taking notice of the furniture object cult”.

The project will be exposed on December 17 at “The LAB”, the Nokia Trends Lab real location in Milan at “La Casa 139” club.
