Thanks Michael (and everyone else),

I'm going to try to do another set of headphones over the coming week in your suggested perspective. I did a few sharpie thumbnails trying to get the view down but I'm finding it difficult to get away from the comfortable perspectives that I find easy to sketch, (if that makes sense) but I need to start thinking more about what the sketches are trying to convey to the viewer.

Over the past week I've been doing a lot of loose/gestural car sketches and decided to go to Sketchbook Pro for some this morning. I couldn't get the pressure sensitivity to work for some reason so it was kind of like using a gel pen. I'm also not much of a car guy, but these are super fun to doodle.

Good morning :)

Salt/pepper mill thoughts from this morning for the weekly design challenge. I prefer this sheet with linework only and a bit of highlighting to draw the eye. I'm not sure the quick rendering adds anything?

Morning all, I wanted to go fully analogue on these tents today, but when I scanned everything in there was nothing lifting the main rendered image off the page, so I added a little background in Photoshop. Not entirely sure I like it, but all the sketches including rendering were done in 30 minutes today so I'm pretty happy with what they convey for the time spent on them :)

Bonus Dad-joke: Why is camping in a caravan more peaceful? It's less in tents (intense). Sorry!

Some roller derby helmets today. Feel like this sheet lost a lot of it's value and got really bleached out when scanned in :? Any tips for tweaking in photoshop after scanning as this just didn't come through as well as the original sheet.

I've uploaded one version with pencil and one without.

I'm liking where that bottom right helmet is go. Good proportion and attitude (not sure about having a bullseye on the top of the head, but otherwise very nice). By contrast, do you see why that sketch is more successful than the one in the bottom left? The upper right also has some nice potential to develop. Perhaps try blowing up those two and overlaying them to see how you could refine them.

Thanks Michael, I'll get onto that next week. The proportions are definitely more appropriate in the ones you've pointed out, bottom left kind of ended up like a terrible samurai helmet.

From last night and this morning, some more helmets and earbuds. This time with Instagram-friendly image size:

Hi all,

Image dump incoming of some sheets from the past week. Some recognisable stuff, some pure forms.

I was trying different pens and styles to try to find a good combination for creating quick ideation sheets.
