I have 4 winged friends, 2 Crows that remind me to wake up every day after I hit the snooze button and 2 srub jays that keep my gutters relatively clean and free of spiders, all in exchange of peanuts and scraps of food, the crows avoid any direct contact, but the jays or at least the male let's me poke his belly every now and then and perches on my door while I make breakfast : ) here he is :
About 6 years ago I did some sketches for a bird feeder just for fun:

I might revisit the project at some point, but have the feeling that the perfect bird feeder is a branch with shade and a cup, so mostly a tree.
