What are the flaws/irony?

I have heard from footwear friends that the reused/recycled plastic is really hard to source and prohibitively expensive.

When 80.000 Nike shoes spilled into the ocean from a ship, it would have been a bit ironic to turn those into new shoes again.
It is a bit ironic that a lot of shoes disappear into the sea by means of the tides though.
I like how the design links back to the ocean with the foam and wave patterns, and overall I love fashion made of recycled plastic fabrics.
