Got them cheap as chips in tokyo, for running around on the hills. So far surpassed my expectations. Grips well uphill and spares my forefoot downhill.

Trying to decide between wingtips or not. Leaning towards plain toe and sticking with dress shoes for wings.

I had the same struggle with thesboots. I went with plain toe after my wife told me I don't wear nice enough pants to pull off wingtips.

I miss those boots -- unfortunately the leather sole wore out in two months. I know they are meant to be resoled, but I have never have any leather-bottomed shoe wear out nearly that fast. Back the manufacturer they went.

I also decided to go with the plain toe version.

Ive noticed that the outsole has gotten fairly chewed up by the concrete outside. Which I found a bit odd, especially for something called 1000 mile boots. Figured id just get a Topy on them in order to save the soles.

They don't make them like they used to. For sure they don't make them for 100o miles. If they did they would probably be too stiff and heavy for the average consumer and would definitely need to be broken in which isn't very comfortable.

If you're looking for tougher old school boots, maybe next time try a smaller and more traditional boot company like White's boots which hopefully still uses thicker and higher quality leathers, they probably won't be as comfortable out of the box, but they won't breakdown as fast.

Alternatively get you wolverines resoled with a better and thicker sole.

Just ordered a pair of these fresh, delicious kicks.
Should go nicely with just about anything in my wardrobe.

That is a really nice remix of the Pegasus 83 with the all welded upper and the stripe continuing onto the midsole.

I was lucky and still got a pair at Sneaker Politics. They appear to be sold out now though...

Just dig around the web a bit.
Hunting is half the fun!

Good luck.

Update:
Did some digging on my own, just because a few friends also inquired as to where I got them.

I found this version on Finish Line. It is indeed labeled as the same colorway, i.e. Red Atomic / Team Red, but it looks grossly different from other pictures. However, I am pretty sure it's the same sneaker.
What do yo guys think? Same one?

Looks like the same one to me. I'm guessing the lighter purple parts in the second pic have a 'reflector-dust' finish.

Nice mix of a retro silhouette with new construction techniques.

Sweet!! Thanks man! I've been in Ireland and Scotland for the past couple weeks and have been lucky with the weather. No rain and so warm! Those kicks have gotten a ton of use.

Picked up a pair of these a couple weeks ago. Nice and comfortable with a kind of casual feel to them.
