The foto was taken at Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2009 but I have no info about that barstool… I’m trying to find the material of the upper black part

I’ve also searched and found similar stools like the ones you showed me. But since I can’t touch-feel-sqeeze the material, I’m not 100% sure this is the material i’m looking for…

I love the style of those stools. I settled for some from IKEA for my gameroom and playing my arcade games. Is that a foam topper? They look comfy, but if they are wood…then maybe not so much.
