I’m not a transportation designer (well I did do a golf cart once) but I think Mazda’s surface quality is top notch, as good as any hand-formed Italian car. Whether or not the styling floats your boat is irrelevant. Mazda design takes risks and is successful. All of their cars have harmony and technically accurate execution. They make most Toyota, Honda, even Lexus cars look clunky and amateurish.
