What you think of this Chariot Skates concept..commute like bicycle but without seat and handlebar that what they say on their website. Will it take me quick to office, don't know. No parking, no extra space.

Boy... where to begin? I already feel like an tool on rollerblades, now I'd lock it up by looking like a tool for sure?

Seems like these have been around for a while, and are doing a pretty good job by themselves...

"Fruit Boots" take up too much space on the bike path, especially when I'm doing lactate threshold intervals on a sunny afternoon. Dodging the baby carriages already is too much trouble.

If those big-wheel Fruit Boots come with the Flashdance sweater and 5000-yard stare of someone who has sanded too much bondo, I'll sign up for a set right away. Where is he skating, along the Yangtze River Bike Path?

The larger your wheel hub, the more bearings you have to use on a larger raceway, which increases weight, cost, machining time, materials used...

I'm convinced that the first designer who thought of this just couldn't be arsed to fill in the spokes while he was sketching a bicycle.

I don't know, that looks a little bad-ass to me... like you could go dangerously fast with the big wheels

Looking at the background that guy is skating on an unused road in China. Or one of those huge sidewalks made for large populations that you would not see outside of China. His mouth is clamped in order to keep the pollution out :)

Not sure if this would be called hubless. Pretty brutal design though.

Tim: I was searching for a reason that the guy's mouth was like that. I guess the pollution is one answer!
