had some time at work so i decided to finally make myself a bike fender…out of heat bent black acrylic

sadly it only works with my bike…was trying to make it out of clear with some embedded LED’s to make the edge glow like tron but couldnt find the tech fast/cheap enough…
its got some bounce, but the frame mount is solid…and the acorn nuts got some loctite…hope no one steals it…or breaks it…
With all that flexing going on it shouldn’t be too long before you start to see a fracture developing at the inside corner radius of the “notch” that you place at the bend … and if this is acrylic, as opposed to polycarbonate, it should be pretty spectacular when it fails. Plexiglass doesn’t care much for flexing or notch sensitivity.
