Incorporating wood in consumer electronics (e-readers)

Wondering if there any design or manufacturing resources out there for incorporating wood in consumer electronic products? Real deal here, not faux injection moulded wood texture.

Found an overmoulding process called EXO wood by Inclosia, however it seems that they were around in 2003, not any more. Article here http://www.designnews.com/document.asp?doc_id=219676

The MotoX uses a wooden back - Hands on: The new Moto X in leather, wood, and plastic | Computerworld
would be very interested in finding out how this is processed.

My application is e-readers. Any help would be much appreciated!
