acceptance of bio waste material from palm oil production

Hi,

recently my business partner finished his research in the field of reusing waste from the production of palm oil. This material (palm fibre) has been tested in laboratorium scale and we want to develop to an small industrial scale. This material can be used for example in packaging and casings.
Until now, this waste are just burned and this cost alot too. The idea was to make a productive material from waste.

What I want to ask, is the market acceptance of this kind of material. Do anybody in this forum have any experience in marketing and producing cunsomer goods with bio material?

A belated answer to your question is: yes

I believe molded palm-fiber has been used in the production of panel inserts in automible doors.

It is also fairly widely accepted in the packaging industry.

There is a local company here in Vancouver that makes a number of packaging products from palm fiber.
