Does anyone know anything about products designed for disassembly? I read on another message board that Kodak’s disposable cameras are designed to be taken apart and reused. I’m doing some research on modularity in design and was curious if anyone knew of any other examples.
i just put a post on the general discussion board about the “WEEE” regulations in the EU, i sited phillips as an example. they design a phone a few years back called the “savvy”. that was designed for disassembly. it was put together using screws with threads that disintegrated when exposed to ultrasonic vibration, meaning that the phone literally falls apart. clever stuff.
