Forgetting the drug issue, I remember reading hemp (marijuana) produces as much as 10000kg/hectare without the need of irrigation, fertilizers etc and that it grows everywhere. I am rather new to this issue (and I’m a designer, not a farmer), but why on earth is this plant not being utilized or even taken into count when talking about these biofules and biopolymers etc.
It is a very strange scenario. One side claiming it to be the most important plant on earth, others (like governments) pretends it doesn’t exist!
Anyway, a friend of mine has been driving on homebrew biodiesel for years now. It is so easy to make it’s amazing. Unfortunately it doesn’t work in low temperatures.
