I am dealing with tons and tons of digital photos. (nightmare) If I start with a 22 inch 72 dpi jpeg and I want to print a 4 inch 300 dpi tif and I am doing this in photoshop, What order should i make the changes in order to maximize the quality of the final output?

I have been saving the original large jpeg in an “archival photo file” and working with copies.

Is there a best way?

What do you mean by what order? Resizing an image is a one step process.

To automate the process use “Actions” and apply the action you’ve made to the entire folder of images.
